But no one turns when she walks by…

She walks through the rain, but she never feels cold
She’s screaming their names, but they don’t even know
Her hands on the glass, but they slip right through
She’s chasing their shadows—do they see her too?

She swears she was here, she swears she was real
But everything fades, she forgets how to feel
A world that she loves, but that won’t love her back
She wonders, "Did I ever belong to the past?"
