Second Wave

On Barren Lands
Panic and rush
Something came from the overseas
And travels from mouth to mouth like gossip
That soon a horn will roar
And piles of bodies in the streets
Fucking annihilation
When we’re burned with boredom
And the world gives us nothing new

They say that somewhere morgues burst at seams
They prepare holes with lime
I wait and I look
There’s nothing outside the window, pavement grey like time
Although one shouldn’t, I say:

The most boring apocalypse I’ve ever seen

And while the first one is still on
So bitter and weird
It’s building inside, I feel it strongly -
The second is coming
