La Voix Du Bon Dieu
Grand Mother
Ce jour de nuages et de pluie
O pour le ciel tu es parti
Au devant d'un monde meilleur
J'avais des larmes plein le coeur
This day of clouds and rain
When for the heaven you left
Looking for a better world
I had my heart full of tears
En tremblant sur la tombe close
J'y ai dpos quelques roses
Un enfant doit souffrir un jour
J'ai compris que c'tait mon tour
While shaking over your closed grave
I put on a few roses
A child must suffer someday
I understood that it was my turn
Grand maman que j'aimais tant
Toi qui aimais m'entendre chanter
Depuis dj trop longtemps tu n'es plus
Pour m'couter
Et simplement pour dire ton nom
Je te ddie cette chanson
Grand mother that i loved so much
You who was enjoying listening to me sing
Since already too long you're not here anymore
To listen to me
And simply tell your name
I sing this song for you
Quand tu venais nous visiter
Toujours la fin de l'
Pour mon plaisir tu racontais
Tes histoires drles d'autrefois
When you were visiting us
Always at the end of summer
For my pleasure you were telling
Your funny stories of the old days
En retour je te chantais
Des chansons douces que tu aimais
Tu tais une grande dame
Ton sourire venait de l'me
In return i was singing to you
Some sweet songs you loved
You were a great lady
Your smile was coming from your soul
Grand maman que j'aimais tant
Toi qui aimais m'entendre chanter
Depuis dj quelque temps tu n'es plus
Pour m'couter
Et simplement pour dire ton nom
Je te ddie toutes mes chansons
Grand mother that i loved so much
You who was enjoying listening to me sing
Since already too long you're not here anymore
To listen to me
And simply tell your name
I sing this song for you
