Tekst piosenki
There was a day when everything was good
The sky so blue
And everywhere I went I knew the truth
And what to do
But I got lost somehow and soon I served the one to blame
I walked the ways of sorrow craving fortune and fame
I broke all the promises I made
Yes I have to leave this masquerade
And I'm leaving it now
Darkness is falling on this road I chose to take
But soon will come the hour of unmasking
In the end I'll have to pay
For my mistake
Yes I've been down with the fallen ones
I spat right on their face
Commitment and compassion were just a faint memory trace
But it wasn't real, no, just a dream
One day I woke up I can't believe
Such a fool, just a tool in this grand masquerade
We create and we hate
Darkness is falling on this road I chose to take
But soon will come the hour of unmasking
In the end I'll have to pay
For my mistake
I stumble on this road I had to take
Waiting for the hour of unmasking
Just name the price and I will pay
For my mistake
My mistake
I'll stand corrected
Darkness is falling on this road I chose to take
But soon will come the hour of unmasking
In the end I'll have to pay
For my mistake
