East 17 - Here Is A Taste

here's the gift of christmas
the world at it's best
we mustn't forget
why the gift of christmas
can help remind us
2 remember the rest
who said that Christmas
was only for kids?
we may think it isn't
but we all know it is
don't forget the sad ones
the poor ones and the rest
let's all come together
and make this 1 the best
here's the gift of christmas
the world at it's best
we mustn't forget
why the gift of christmas
can help remind us
2 remember the rest
don't forget the child
when born was showered in gifts
how quickly we forget
just what christmas is
the wise men and the shepherds
they started up this thing
so long it's been tradition
make sure it doesn't end
here's the gift of christmas
the world at it's best
we mustn't forget
why the gift of christmas
can help remind us
2 remember the rest
here's the gift of christmas
the world at it's best
we mustn't forget
why the gift of christmas
can help remind us
2 remember the rest
another child dies while mama cries
wise are the eyes that realise like sunrise
keep growing and showing
and while the tearsthey keep flowing
there never knowing where the
other meal will come from
so we jumped off the rock 2 give
back with a track
it's so easy 2 help
and help is the fact
'cos while the turkey you're carving
could be a child starving
we all need a lift and love is a free gift
now a christmas time everybody fi' sing
make all the children smile and grin
some of them small
some of them look thin
all they need is a little loving
so all of the people just keep moving
once a year u have 2 give something
christmas time and it just begin
watch how the chlidren start dancing
here's the gift of christmas
the world at it's best
we mustn't forget
why the gift of christmas
can help remind us
2 remember the rest
