Tekst piosenki
Going back in time
to another world
gonna find that place
gonna find that girl
don't want a hippie chick
or a disco queen
just want the girl
from a na-nineteen eighty three
I want a new wave girl
I want a new wave girl
oh oh want a new wave girl,
don't know what I'm gonna do
without that girl from eighty two
oh oh want a new wave girl,
clove cigarettes,
heaven seventeen,
cool places tonight,
o.m.d.,
now I don't want my mtv,
'cause the real world
I don't want to see,
I want a new wave girl,
I want a new wave girl,
oh oh want a new wave girl,
I can't go on without her
god where's my cindy lauper?
oh oh want a new wave girl, new wave girl...
