There were thirty thousand fans watched the race from the stands
At the fairgrounds in Baltimore.

There was tension in the crowd when the message was announced
That all the other horses had been scratched.

There was a thirty minute wait while they realigned the gate

The Beauty had it won from the sound of the gun
