I thought you were the one I loved
I thought you were my freedom you were my drug
I thought the more of you the more relief
But when it was supposed to be perfect I just got more grief.

I thought it could only get better
I thought it would last forever
I was chewing the chewed I couldn't taste it
maybe I knew it was nonsense but I couldn't face it.
Well I've had enough it's time to wake up.
Fighting for right while not knowing what's wrong
Trying to change the world with a song.
And all those romantic days, even the best
I realize now led me to more distress.
