Outside is a storm,
inside is nothing

It beats on the door
but I won't let it through

My hands are full,

But the rain it crushes and mangles the tin
And the rain's still trying to find a way in
And up from the hole in my chest comes a head

That starts off sweet and ends up flat

The rain comes down, it doesn't stop
The bucket is nearly filled to the top
The drips drop in in single file
And I even start to forget for a while
And the head falls back and the teeth start to grin
As the hole closes up and stretches my skin
I go to the window
I look out the pane
I don't see your tears
Only the rain
